FINAL 2: MONOCULAR CUES

HERE ARE THE 6 MONOCULAR CUES...

SIZE DIFFERENCES:
The couch that is further away looks smaller than the couch that is closer. In actuality, both couches are the same size.

OCCLUSION:
From a far, the lamp and end table that is closer occludes or stands in front of the bed's head, which is also occluding the other end table on the other side of the bed.

LIGHTING AND SHADING:
On one side, the roof top of the house appears to be much lighter due to the light hitting that side. Whereas, the other side is darker because it is receiving less amount of light.

TEXTURE DENSITY:
Here you see the wall of the house and its repeated brick pattern.

LINEAR PERSPECTIVE:
The lines here are parallel. The further away the lines are, the more the lines begin to narrow down. Once the parallel lines are far away enough, they will vanish.

ATMOSPHERIC PERSPECTIVE:
From a far, we see a white blurry dot. When up close, the object is more detailed and we can see that the object is a soccer ball.

WebGL HW

WebGL is an application to render 2D and 3D graphics within any standard browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. WebGL involves the heavy use of Javascript API to apply the 2D and 3D graphics without the necessity of other plugins. It is simple and easy to use. A great example is the virtual world of Cloud Party. Without having to download anything to your computer, you can operate the use of the 2D and 3D graphics all through the browser itself.

FINAL 4: My Human Avatar

This is an avatar similar to my human self. I created this using makehuman. Below, are some screenshots I took to detail some of my features to make the avatar look somewhat like me. It is a final exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. 3D Rocket Assignment

FINAL 1: Flash/Powerbullet.swf Files

So here are some screenshots I took of my work with PowerBullet. I had some trouble getting the program to work and ran. I tried find a mistake that I might have taken to complete the animation process and get it to work, however, this popped up. After playing around with and communicating with my classmates I finally got the animations to run.

I continued doing the assignments and took screenshots of my work below.

ASSIGNMENT 1
Here is a screen shot of my name in text. The text animation for my name is suppose to jump in from the right.

ASSIGNMENT 2

Here is a screen shot I took of an circle object. The animation of this object opens horizontally.

ASSIGNMENT 3
Here is a screenshot of a Bitmap image, with a pink background. The animation of this picture jumps in from the left.

ASSIGNMENT 4

Here is a screenshot of the three previous assignments all in over. With each assignment entering with a different animation and at different times.

Here are the links to my animations above. NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS IN INTERNET EXPLORER!

Midterm 8 - Headshot

Here is an Image of myself. The one to the left is the original image of myself. The one to the right is a touch up image. I removed wrinkles and smile lines on my face using the blur and smudge tools.

MIDTERM #7

Here is a image of Will Smith. In this image I changed his eyes, using the logo provided for this midterm. I used the ellipse tool to make the logo circle instead of leaving it rectangular. I then used the recgtangular tool to outline a black background on the bottom of this picture and created three lines of text.

PART 1

This is a Silver dollar coin created using vector graphics. I used a texture color pattern to make the coin look more realistic and used the text tool to write liberty and the year on the coin.

PART 2

This is the same coin i created using GimpShop.
PART 3

This is a Susan B Anthony coin that I created using Gimp Shop.

Texture Mapping in Cloud Party

Here are some objects that are examples of texture mapping

Texture Maps vs. Coloring

Difference between 3D objects that are textured mapped and those that are flat shaded or colored ----???

This is an image of a 3D tank. The tank on top is simply shaded in different flat colors while the bottom tank is texture mapped. Texture mapping is the same thing as applying wallpaper or paint to a real object.

MIDTERM 5 - Progressive JPEG & Interlaced PNG

JPEG IMAGE MIDTERM 5A

PNG IMAGE MIDTERM 5B

These are two different images... a JPG and an PNG.

First I created a new image and filled the new image titled transparency [an image with shaded boxes]. I Then added a caption saying "Understanding and Using layers in GIMPShop". I added new layers, one white and the other transparent. The white layer allowed me to blend the Opacity of the image along with the text. After, I downloaded the picture of the penguin and pasted it on the transparent layer I name "Tux". The penguin appeared in front of the text. I anchored the image down, with the down arrow button as the words appeared to in front of the Penguin.
